Julie (browneyes) Hey! i just saw your note asking how some of us were. I appreciate your thoughts!
I have been so busy it is crazy, but I am enjoying it so much.For the first time in years I have a social life, lol and I am having a hard time keeping up with it. I have been going to my meetings. I am now a treasurer for my home group. I have been spending time with my sponsor and volunteering alot of time to the christmas program the agency that I work for does to help parents get presents for their kids. I even went out to dinner with my best friend on Sunday!
I realize that I haven't been as active on the board as I should be, so I am setting time aside in the mornings and the evenings in which to be here.
On a sad note, I lost my Great-Grandmother on Sunday. I am hurting because of that. And I am so tired of people telling me that I was lucky to have her in my life for so long. I know they mean well, but it doesn't help. And also others telling me, well at least she had a good long life. What does that mean? I have no idea how to take that. My great-grandmother has had dimentia (spelling) for years and I have watched a woman who I adored turn into someone who doesn't even remember me. I am still a little angry. I know that is a natural stage in the grieving process, so I am taking it one day at a time. I know these people are trying to help, but they really aren't.
That's what has been going on with me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandmother who is 94 was like a mother to me. We can't see each other since we live so far away and talking on the phone is hard since she can't hear well. I do treasure my childhood memories of her, but will be so sad when she passes. I can't even imagine what you are feeling. You have a right to your feelings whatever they may be & regardless of what others say. I'm happy to hear of your social life and the fun you are having.

I'm glad you are doing well. I think the last time you posted you were at the end of your rope with your "A", so I was kind of wondering what was going on with you. Good to know that you are doing meetings and having fun. Way to take care of yourself!!

Good to hear from you, sounds like you are doing what you need to do to get you through this loss in your life. Like you said grief is a process and sometimes I think its o.k. to be angry for a while. I hope you have a great Holiday. Take care and hugs to you!!
