My HP has a sense of humor. I have to believe that because the only other option is he is out to get me. I thought things couldn't get any worse today. I started the day very down. I tried to read my husband's NA book and then threw the book across the room. I was angry that I read it more than he does. He had the nerve to tell me not to lose his page. How hard is it to remember to start at the beginning? Anyway, i was also depressed because of all of the hopeful stories (I know they are supposed to inspire hope). Why cab't my husband be a hopeful story?
Then I found out that my dog is pregnant. Don't know who the father is. Still, that's the least of my worries, but was disappointed to see that her breasts are getting bigger than mine.
Did I mention when I threw the NA book the power went out? No kidding! That was a few hours ago. We are in the middle of an ice storm. They are predicting that the power will be out for a few days. Not a penny to our name to buy a cheap heater or get a room somewhere. Husband gets paid tomorrow and I will be glued to him when he gets his check. Detatchment be darned. We need a heater. I will make sure we haev the money for one. I am cold, my toes are numb. I don't even know who's socks I have one but one is huge and they don't match. I am trying to type by candle light so my eyes hurt. But husband did cook an entire dinner on the grill in the ice and rain. BBQ ribs were good. He even made mashed potatoes and green beans. I guess calling him useless was unfair. We will need him later for body warmth.
Hope everyone else is having a better day than I am.

Powerless,
Thank you for the humor! It sure helps in situations like yours! I especially can relate to the part about needing to use him for warmth! (Well, I use MINE for warmth, not yours...)
Take care, and be strong,
Kathi

Powerless,
Good for you in finding humor in that day. As hard as it is to find positive in every situation it can really change your day if you do. Keep up the good work and thanks for the laugh:)
