spend all your time waiting
for that second chance for a break that would make it okay
there's always one reason
to feel not good enough
and it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
oh beautiful release
memory seeps from my veins
let me be empty
and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
in the arms of an angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there
so tired of the straight line
and everywhere you turn
there's vultures and thieves at your back
and the storm keeps on twisting
you keep on building the lie
that you make up for all that you lack
it don't make no difference
escaping one last time
it's easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
this glorious sadness that brings me to my knees
in the arms of an angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here INNOCENT CHILD Words & Music by Steve Siler Precious one I know you've been sad for so long Don't blame yourself You didn't do anything wrong You only wanted attention Every child needs the same You are as pure as a flower In the cleansing rain It's not your fault You are an innocent child It's not your fault You are an innocent child Precious one I know the nightmares you've had Don't be ashamed You didn't do anything bad You only wanted approval Every child needs love You are a perfect creation of God above It's not your fault You are an innocent child It's not your fault You are an innocent child
Seventh Day Slumber
Wonder what can be so bad That it makes you want to die I wonder what could be so tragic Makes you want to take your life You have your Savior on the cross While you sit on the throne Put yourself up on that cross Put your Savior on the throne
And I know it's hard to take what's happening And I know life is tough sometimes And I know it seems like there's no hope for you And I know your life is worth more than you can see
It's hard to see beyond your pain When you feel so dead inside It's hard to see what you've been given It's hard to find the hope in life
And I know it's hard to take what's happening And I know life is tough sometimes And I know it seems like there's no hope for you And I know your life is worth more than you can see
And I say look at Jesus' hands Those scars are there for you You know He understands What you're going through

Wow ((((((((Lauren))))))))),
I love that song ~ I never paid as much attention to the words but they are beautiful ~ Songs make me cry sometimes and sometimes it's a healing cry (when I feel better after) which is a good thing. Thank you sweetie for keeping me on my toes.
Love Ya,

Lauren,
Thanks for posting these. Angel always brings tears to my eyes. I remember when I first heard it-- my brother (a homeless addict) had died the day before, and the lyrics were so haunting and just identical to his life. I sobbed, but felt a strange sense of comfort that he was "in the arms of the angel." He was truly miserable in this life, and I pray he has found peace. Tomorrow he would have turned 51.
