This sounds so good. I am Italian and a typical Chirstmas dinner for us is homemade pasta (including homemade spaghetti noodles and ravioli), Smeltz, salad, cheesecake, apple pie. Mmm Mmm good.

9 x 13 pan - toothpicks 350 degree oven perhaps 45 min to l hour.
Party Appetizers
Buy Oscar Mayer BEEF Lil Smokies, Brown Sugar
Turkey Bacon or a Lower Fat Bacon
(Cut Bacon Strips in half of thirds so it will wrap around each smokey link once or twice.)
Wrap each Smokey Link w/ bacon strip once or twice as desired. Secure wi/toothpick!
Sprinkle with Brown Sugare and Bake. That's all !
BEEF flavored smokey links give the best flavor IF YOU CAN FIND THEM IN THE STORE ! That's the hard part!:

LOL......an alanon recipe exchange?,,thanks for the recipes. I know for me,,I love to cook,,it makes me lose sight in what is going on in the world around me, and also gives me a sense of accomplishment, then because I am alone now, I always make to much, so I have the pleasure of giving it away to friends and loved ones. Makes me feel good.,,,,thanks again,,,now I am hungry!

Thanks for recipe, Edna - now, a small question: I love American recipes that use cups, saves getting the scales out - but, what size is an American cup? You guys like to go for giant sizes, it may not be same size as Brit cup! lol
One thing I am trying to find is an alternative to brandy for keeping a Christmas cake moist (not this year, going to buy one). I have, in the past, used orange juice, but did not like result - too orangey (surprise surprise).
Now, do you think this would work? I used to make this simple fruit cake that you used tea to soak the fruit overnight. Maybe, I could use one of those fruit teas to moisten a Christmas cake? Maybe next year we will have a trial, and all try out our ideas!
Lots of love,
Flora

what about apple juice..would it be too apple-like? Not too much into fruitcake here..my mother in law is from England, and she would make a plum pudding once in awhile and we would have "crackers", not the ones you eat, the little snappy things with the confettie and crowns inside..great fun we had with that. recipes would be fun to exchange..take care now and happy Christmas.

Where's the recipe for the sticky buns you mentioned?
An easy one I like is pillsbury cresent rolls with ham and cheese rolled inside. They take a few more minutes in the oven.
