In a month I have gotten real strong. I have learned that it is ok to say no. To stick to my guns and not give him back the key that I took from him. For not giving in an letting him drive the car by himself. I took the key because he is not in recovery and I am afaird that he is going to get a DWI and my car will be taken. Or he will get busted with drugs. At least if something happens it will be by foot and not by car.I have started to take shower and have clean clothes. For me this way hard because I suffer from depression on top of dealing with my a.

i am very proud of yo... after your shower the next day why dont you read a novel and curl up on the couch with a nice cup of tea or cocoa.... take deep breaths and believe in yourself... the pain will ease. i promise.

Way to go, NYCBT, you inspire me. Thank you, my A just got her first job, out of rehab, she is doing good, but thinks she needs a car now, I have been aprehensive, but part of me wants to buy her one, so she doesn't SUFFER in the cold, she lives about 1/2 a city block away from her job. But after reading your post I know we are doing the right thing.
