The holiday season (speaking politically correctly)

Thanksgiving Day already. Where did the year go???? I hope each of you has made a forward step or two in your recovery program this year. And now that we are at the beginning of the holiday season, I wish each of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Channukah, Delightful Kwanzaa..whatever suits your fancy to celebrate. You may be thinking it a little early to extend these wishes, but Thanksgiving Day always puts me in the holiday spirit. Remember to keep in mind the true meanings surrounding your holidays. And extend your hand a little farther out with love.
Thank you all for being here, Diva

Happy Holidays to you too ((((((((Diva))))))))).
I love the thing you said about extending our hands out a little farther with love.
I know you all will soon be tired of me talking about my trip..... but another thing I experienced which made a big impression on me was that my own attitude was returned to me by just about everyone I came into contact with. As I made my journey alone in my car for hours at a time, I would stop for gas, food, bathroom....whatever..... I would encounter the person working at the counter. The fellow child of God cleaning the rest areas...or whoever! To a person I would speak to them with a smile on my face and peace and love in my heart...and it was returned to me! What a gift it is for us to give to that person we encounter just to smile and say thank you, or howdy - beautiful day isn't it?
And for that moment we are friends.....brothers and sisters....spirits uplifted.
Its such a little thing, a smile, a kind word - but so powerful, so rewarding to giver and receiver.
Hope you have a great day my friend!

((((((((Diva)))))))))),
Happy Holidays to you too. I walked down this morning in the snow to feed the feral kittens. They are very well kept. It's nice to give back either to your fellow human beings or all creatures great and small. Would that we could take the love and positive feelings that surround the holiday season, and extend all year long.
Love and blessings to all of you.
Live strong,
Karilynn

thank you & back to you dear!!!!
You have told me some wonderfully strong & supportive words, I appreciate it & Best Wishes, Happy New Year & hope you are growing at light speed in your recovery too.
Some days my steps are very small but I am growing, thanks for all of the support & love, I relfect it back!!!
We are all mirrors & love keeps growing exponentially... like attracts like, I am grateful for the process.
I'm always "like" a little kid, epecially around the Holidays which for me go from Halloween through to Easter which often includes my birthday at the end of March!
thanks - Happy holidays to you too
