One of the things my sponsor always tells me is, "nothing is forever." Not the bad, and not the good, either. Not the situation I am in. Not me. Not my happiness. Not my anger.
It helps me to remember this when I'm having a bad day - as in, "this too shall pass."
It helps me to remember this when I'm having a good day, too. I can better appreciate the good that is in front of me while it is there.
My sponsor also tells me there are no mistakes, just opportunities for improvement, chances to change course. This goes along with "nothing is forever." Each morning I ask my HP to show me what my opportunities for improvement are. Yesterday I was able to talk to my husband about a concern I had without being pushy or judgemental. And I was able to start conversations with three people I might ordinarily have been too shy to talk to. I don't know if I'll be able to do these same things tomorrow. But I know I'll do something better, if I keep it in my mind to.
No matter what is going on ithere are little things like these to be grateful for, if I pay attention. -Hope.

That is true nothing last forever. When my active alcholic comes home druck that is the only thing that keeps me going is to know that tomorow will be a better day.
