well my a went to work today which is a huge surprise. he came home for lunch walked right up to me and was crying. he said im so sorry. i feel so bad. i need help and i will do it all on my own. i  know you dont believe me. apparantly there was no coke being used last night because no one had money. dont know if i believe that or not. anyways, all i said was you do what you have to and i'll stick around and make sure i can take care of my self financially without him and if things havent changed by then i may have to leave. thats it. i didnt cry. i didnt yell. i see huge progress on my part. and for him, he'll do  whatever he feels he needs to do. i know theres nothing i can do. i just said if he has any questions i can help him find the right resources. thx for all of your replies. luv yall

Good Job. It is hard not to get involved in there mess. Stay strong. I am going through the same thing. I think at times my husband is doing drugs instead of achol so I don't think he is doing anything. But I am getting smarter like you are. Like people tell me take care of your self, do something nice for yourself. So I am telling you the same thing. It is important that u make sure you have enough money for your self.

Wow!  Similar things are happening in my life!  My A has always been sorry after one of his stints, but this last time was so different.  Last month he admitted OUTLOUD that he had a problem, this month he says he is done.  I find that as I work my program and take care of me, he is left with nothing but to take care of his own stuff.  I no longer point out what he is doing wrong, I use to do that all the time, but now I just take my own inventory.  I am praying more and asking my HP to heal my A.  We are on day four with no alcohol....
