I am home and all is going well. I so enjoyed the time with my parents and things there for me are stressful, enjoyable, exhausting and relaxing. My mom had tests and has bleeding in her stomach :( We will find out later what is causing it and get the biopsy results back. I think it is her nerves from knowing her mind is failing her from the alzheimers :( That is such a devestating, horrible disease! Two A diseases I hate now. grrrrrr Dad is doing the best he can with his health problems too. I am so blessed to be only 2 hours away from them and am looking forward to having them at my house for Thanksgiving. I have had very few holidays with them over the past 27 years with them living in AZ and me living in ND. Every moment with them is valuable to me :) I will not let my dry drunk behavior spouse ruin it and the alanon tools are helping me detatch from that. My daughter seems to be staying clean and sober to my knowledge. With my attention focused on my parents, I guess I rarely think of her. She quit another job :( grrrrr and is looking for work again. AT least she finally hooked up with vocational rehabilitation which she qualified for do to her depression. She works her program and and we actually have a good relationship now with great boundaries :) I am so close to both my kids and the calm I have learned to have despite chaos around me makes for a very healthy happy environment when we are all together. My spouse does have a heart still and did come to visit me while at my parents again when I was gone. He has no alanon and he still is such an angry unhappy person :( Not just to me, but to everyone. Not my issue. I have to use my energy for my recovery and to focus on me. The kitten is growing and keeps us on our toes LOL He still lays on my hands so I can't type on the computer LOLOL. My other cat is my comforter. I missed him the most when I was gone. I have my mother in law visiting now too. She is a very nice person and a great mother in law. She gets embarassed at her son though and knows she cannot change him either. Well, time to go......you all take care and Bless you all. cdb :)
