Hi roomies, Okay I just came back from the doctors. Last month I had my annual mamomogram, and the films didn't come out right. They called me back in and did some more pictures and an ultrasound because they saw something. I have to go see a surgeon next week and take it from there. I know that I have a lot going for me, no history of breast cancer in the family, I don't smoke or drink, I eat semi-healthy, etc. I do my monthly exams and have felt nothing. I also know that it could be something as simple as a cyst. But I'd be lying to you if I said I'm a little overwhelmed and scared. I'm trying to leave it to God, and stay positive about all this. I know that no matter what happens I intend to hit this head on. But I hate this waiting! I'm off tomorow and said let's do it tomorrow. Of course they can't. I being the consumate planner this does not fit in with my plans! Can we just get on with it please?! So if you could include me in your prayers I'd greatly appreciate it. Meanwhile I'll try and get on with things, and stay positive. Time to hug the kitty close, and talk to my A. I don't think I'm going to tell the rest of the family until I know what is going on. OK girlfriend, here are the stats: 95% of tumors in the breast are NOT cancerous!!! A great many are simple lypomas (little fatty lumps.) Had one of those myself years ago. A surgeon did take it out, of course, but no problem. Now I know that all I have said probably went in one ear and out the other. When we are frightened, no amount of making light helps. I know that. Just remember, you are in my prayers and positive thoughts. Let us know what's what. Love to you, Diva

Hugs to you.  I know how are you are feeling as my last two mammograms came back abnormal.  I worried myself sick.  My doctor suggested I see his breast surgeon to have a biopsy done and I totally freaked.  I went to see him, only to find out that I have a lot of fibrocystic tissue.  He just told me to avoid caffeine as I have alot of pain with this.

So try very hard not worry too much, I know easier said than done.  My prayers are with you and I hope all goes good.  Take care.

I can relate to the fear within. Last year I had the same thing. I was so worried.. and thought the worst. They needed to surgically remove the cyst to analyze mine and happily I can say it was alright. You will be in my prayers. Linda

Dear sweet friends, Good morning! I survived the day, and today will definetly be better. I actually slept through the night, and kittty snuggled extra close. I like to think it's because she knew I needed her. Reality says her favorite toy mouse just happened to be on the bed! Either way I'm grateful for her. Thanks for all your level-headedness, love, support and prayers. I got an email from my best friend's Mom and she ordered me not to spend the week worrying. Trust me when Mrs. K orders not to do something, you don't dare do it or else. Even though she's on the west coast I can still incur her wrath all the way on the east coast. She's that type of Mom! Or as our dearest Diva says: Don't invite trouble! I'm getting on with things. I just came back from an early morning, chilly walk. That'll wake you up. But it's gorgeous. The mist on the leaves, the buck chasing the doe, the cat chasing the doe (that's my kitty!) and it doesn't get better than that. I am going online to check out the surgeon they recommended, and make a list of questions I have to take with me. Then I'm going to work on my Chirstmas Card list. (Yes, I'm that annal retentive as I have over 100 to send out, and my hand gets cramped, plus a bunch go overseas. Besides the cost of stamps are killer, and much easier to do it in spurts.) I have decided that no matter what happens next week I am bound and determined to do the Holidays. Thanksgiving will be just me and my A. I have to work the next morning at 4am which means I'm up at 2am! So that day is reserved just for us. I need to make my cookie list as well as dog/cat cookie list. I have decided this year that instead of making cookies for everyone, the ones with pets get pet treats. I need to go online and figure out how to "kitty proof" the tree. I can very easily see coming home one night and seeing kitty as my tree topper! Anybody with suggestions, please feel free to PM me! There's lots to do in the next couple of months. But with all love and support from all of you and my friends here, I know I can weather any storm. I love you all very much. I'm so glad I've found a second family.
