Just talked to my Mom.  She’s such a downer.  She makes her life depressing & doesn’t know it.  Here I am trying to keep it up, so to speak…;)  & she brings me down.

 

Well, I’m not gonna let her.

 

As Abraham Lincoln said “People are only as happy as they MAKE their minds up to be” or something to that effect.

 

I can make it happen.  I know I control only MY actions, not others. 

 

I can bring her flowers & try as I might, try to cheer her up.

 

There’s another saying “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink”

 

Well, Mom, here’s the well……now, it’s up to you....
