Today Iam greatful that I was able to make the AM meeting and share. Once again my HP leads me to what I need to hear and say, so thank you for listening. I had a wonderful evening with a friend lastnight, but bumped into a freind from my past, i concluded she was a "season friend" funny though, I had a lunch date with a highschool friend who I guess is a "lifetime" friend, she too brought me back to my past, good bad and otherwise. She and I have not seen one another for 7 yrs. Back then she had just come from an abusive relationship and she could see what I was getting into. Of course I choose the guy and not the friend, anyhow, she walked away from me as she could not stand by and watch what was going on.
I fell off my chair when I saw her walk into my office yesterday. We had a nice lunch and it was as if the time had never pasted. other then I now have 3 kids and not just one. My friday was so emotional but not with tears, with revelations. I am glad to be where Iam today.
Iam greatful that I was able to recocnize the type of friendships I have, I am also greatful that I was able to enjoy my evening "alone" (without my kids) I went to dinner with a girlfriend and then we went christmas shopping. Iam greatful that I can wake this morning feeling refreshed. Im greatful that I have a roof over my head, a beautiful dog excited to greet me and that I have a great job to go to today. Im healthy and not suffering from any kind of illness and that my body aches because yesterday at the gym I worked out really hard.
Todays topics for the meeting hit home for me....
I searched all night for a "god box" just the right looking one, then it hit me, my box or bag could be an old shoe box or a paperbag, it is the message and the way that I use it that matters.
Thats all for me today, I will go out in the world today with my head held high, ready to take on any challenge that is thrown my way, I will be greatful for the little things, I plan to say thank you to the stranger for holding the door at the mall for me and I plan on doing a good deed too. Plus, I always smile at a stranger, just hoping that my smile will rub off on them!
