Simple reminder to EVERYONE on this board..... We are here to support each other, and to fight against alcoholism, NOT against ourselves.  Al-Anon states that "although we may not like each other, we will learn to love one another through the common issue of Al-Anon" (not verbatim). 

This board is NOT to be used as a tool for personal attacks, "he said, she said", among members.  Take these fights outside of this board.

Let's get the focus back onto our main goals, and reason that we are ALL here.

Thank you.  I found that if I personally find something offensive or don't agree with an opionion I just don't respond.  I tell my kids sometimes we must "stop and think, and then choose the harder right over the easier wrong"  Thank you for being open and supportive.

In my experience I do not "fight" alcoholism. I let go and let god,or hp. To fight something I have NO control over, for me is not the alanon way at all. I learned to detach from it, not giving it any energy at all, this way I don't lose my serenity. Also I surrender or give it all to the creator. To turn it all over is, for me being totally faithful and know without question, hp will guide me on my footwork and help me wiht an outcome. More than once i have been blessed to see that letting go, and taking care of me is the only answer. Fighing anything to me sounds like someone will win, someone will lose. That is the whole point of letting go. Fighting alcoholism is a losing battle. said in love,debilyn
