Here is an update on Isabela, she is okay but her blood pressure is still high:
"My BP is quite high again. I am simply not taking thoses strong meds anymore. When it first went up I took the double dose again and truly thought I would die. It slowed my heart function so much I could barely breath, hold up my head and really could not walk. It felt like dying...everything slowing down, hard to breathe or move or talk. When I tried to stand up the room would spin, my ears would start ringing and I felt like I would faint. I just cannot function at ALL on that strong med. So, I am DETERMINED to make this lower does work and work on other ways to bring it down. Exercise (now that I can WALK!) stress reduction, and other things. A long hard road, I will need lots of prayer and meditation and relaxation, but I am determined to do it. What is the use of having low BP on meds so strong you feel like you are dying and can do nothing but lay in bed? No, not worth it.
I am still taking FIVE pills a day for my BP, so, it is not like I am doing nothing. I believe in listening to your body...my body says that the hihger dosage is too much, so I am listening. I am still losing weight, and still on the lowcarb plan."
She is working very very hard to control her blood pressure and get her health back.
She could use our prayers
Thank-you

((((((((((Isabela)))))))))))))),
You are an inspiration! I am glad you are working on weight loss. That will certainly help considerably. I also have had to try different medications and have had the same effect as you -- too tired, too lethargic or even worse "a cat on a hot tin roof" ugh. Diet and exercise make a big difference with attitude too. Not completely - we still need some real medications. Just like in Al Anon, life is a "balance."
Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you and have been praying for your recovery and strength.
Megan, you are a wonderful friend to many :).

Thanks for the update Megan, I was wondering how she was. So glad to see she's getting better. I had awful side-effects from Crestor and have a new one that I'm doing well on. Sucks to get older!! Sending prayers, Love TLC
