i had this really freaky dream  my wedding band was broken and distorted my husband swears he was faithful now i am not so sure do any of you believe in dreams? years ago when i was with my ex i went to visit my sick grandmother & i had a dream he cheated on me and later i found out he did. i know i sound crazy i am not sure what to think or if i will ever get thr truth. how can there be a marrige if i doubt in my trust.

I believe in dreams, but maybe your dream has nothing more then your subconcious aknowledging that your marriage is a little broken and warped right now, with love and warmth the wedding band can be shaped back together.

I agree with Mary!  I can have some pretty freaky dreams too.  They can make me suspicious and angry sometimes. Trust is a hard thing to have when the people we love too often break that trust!!  Just have faith in what you see right now, try not to read too much into anything.  Be on guard, but not overly so. (Did this make sense, or did it just sound confusing?)

I agree with Mary, your dream could symbolize your relationship with your husband.
Trust is such a huge issue. Have you ever read the Diliema of the Alcoholic Marriage? It is CAL, and I got alot out of it.

 it's friday and i get alittle nuts on friday. i had stopped wearing my ring for a while but i put it back on after my dream.its still in good shape & iwill not take it off anymore.

Hey Chrissy, I also agree with what Mary said. I can have some pretty bizarre dreams. But if you only go by a dream to determine your husbands infidelity then that's just what it is.......a dream. I always say....If there is smoke then there is fire. Make sense?

Chrissy - your woman's intuition may be kicking in.  Also is it possible your hormones are out of whack right now?  On the other hand the best predictor or future behavior is past behavior.  Follow your heart, turn it over to your HP and the answer will come in your HP's time not yours.  In the mean time, take precautions not to endander yourself by sleeping with a man you do not trust 100 % without protection.

Agree with the above posts. Dreams are not reality. Try to put the dream out of your mind and live in the moment and work your program. Even if he is cheating, alanon still comes back to taking care of us. Do something to make you feel comforted today and happy. PUt the dream away. Work your steps and connect up with HP. cdb :)

I just read about this in a book written by Joyce Meyers.

She writes in her book, "How To Hear From God",

             "Dreams are certainly one of the valid ways God speaks, but this is also an area in which people can easily get out of balance, simply because so many people worldwide dream nightly and they are not all spiritual dreams.  Use discernment, wisdom, and balance, and I believe you will have confirmation in your heart if a dream you have is God trying to speak to you or show you something".

I know when I am very troubled I have some very disturbing dreams. I don't think dreams are premonitions, but your subconciouse mind trying to sort things out. Also many times in dreams things are not exactly what they are, they symbolize. Alcoholism is hurtful to us, and it often feels like a betrayal of our marriage.

Don't drive yourself nuts trying to analyze a dream, and don't take them as truth.

I agree, a troubling dream does indeed often mean that something is wrong, but it may not be the obvious thing. I would use dreams to alrert me to my inner life, and use them as a tool to see what I should be seeing, but would not take them literally.
