Hi Barbara,
If you want to know who had the most time on the board there is information on the left hand side of the screen underneath their name. It will say how many posts they have and that can be one way to know. Also you can read a person's profile. It will say how long they have been a member. And some of us share how long we have in alanon and who are "A" is in the profile.
I have some words of caution for you. Just because someone has not been posting on this board a long time, doesn't mean that their messages are less useful than others. A person can have many years in alanon and be new to this site. Also some of the most amazing thoughts I have heard at meetings and read here have come from the newcomers.
Also just because some has a lot of alanon time under their belt doesn't neccesarily make them healthy either. At some meetings I attend a few members who have many years are really sick. So time in the alanon program may not mean they are or are not working a program is all I wanted to share with you.
Think of it like this a 1967 chevy can run better than a 1995 chevy. It all depends on how the owner is taking care of it.
Much Love,

Barbara,
Time in Alanon doesn't necessarily mean more experienced. It is not even about who has completed the steps, many of us continue to work them, get so far down the list and start over again. We are all a work in progress, we can be doing very well and then falter with our program. I have learned so much from newcomers here and in f2f. We can all help each other and learn from each other, and even when someone is feeling at their lowest, when they share they are contributing their own experiences, by giving feedback to them, we can help them and help oursleves as well.

I agree with all the other posts..... "experience" doesn't necessarily equate to "quality" - sometimes it will, other times it will not...
I think we ALL need to take this board for what it is..... A wide variety of people, with a wide variety of experience, strength, and hope.... What works for one, isn't necessarily the same as what works for another....
Our slogan of "take what you want, and leave the rest" is most powerful, in this vein....
