I think that my HP is working at little for me. I was listening to an Alanon tape and she said that meetings (read message board) are not necessarily for saying how it is but how it can be. This is what has happened for me.
My cat died last spring and I really miss her so I was thinking of finding a couple of kittens that needed a home. And sure enough there are 3 wild kittens under our post office. So no one said that I would just easily find a couple of kittens. This may take some work.
I got my 401K statements in the mail. My A who moved out use to "do the math" on when we could retire, how much we need etc. but our finances have basically sat there since he moved out in June. So I am wondering how in the world I am going to learn how to read the statements and plan for my future. And I guess my HP was listening because my son who is in college called. He said he was taking a finance class. I asked him if he thought he could help me figure out how much money I needed to save and at what rate for retirement. He said "I think that I can figure it out".
The cold weather has hit and I realized that I need more wood. What to do? One of my students worked for the wildland firefighters and he said that he would take a look at my chainsaw. Whew! And then out of the blue my neighbor said that he would help me chop wood this weekend.
I pulled a muscle in my back exercising. I called a chiropractor thinking that I will never get in. She said how about tomorrow morning. I went and I feel so much better.
Well I am realizing that it won't be a walk in the park but I am making progress on my own. I think that this is how it can be for me if I ask for help from my HP.

That's beautiful :) Thanks for sharing. Works the same way for me, too, when I remember to ask HP for guidance. Two night ago my husband and I were going over finances and noticing how much we spend on ATM fees ever since we moved far from where the bank is. This morning the bank called us about another account option that would reimburse us for all our ATM fees from now on. I was sitting here at work up against a deadline wondering if I will be able to finish it or have to skip out on another commitment tonight in order to wrap it up. My boss just came over to say it's no longer as urgent and I can have until next Tuesday to finish it. Funny how these things work out :)

Nancy your post reminded me of the old animated "Cinderella" movie. I have always loved the scene where the bluebirds help her get dressed, they take the ties to her dress and fly through the room to make a bow. I knew it was because they loved her - she had been so kind to feed them and play with them when she was the scullery maid. Help is coming to you - you reap what you sow. Thanks for writing. --- Jill

Wow, what an inspiring post, you are sending me off to bed with a heartful of gratitude for this program and how it teaches us to receive and accept the little gifts the universe hands us. And I loved Jill's reply about Cinderella-- as it says in Just for Today, as I give to the world, so the world will give to me.
