Hi roomies! I've seen a good deal of posts about crying. My A gave me this box last year when he was in rehab. It has a bunch of his favorite quotes. But this one is particularly good. I showed it to him this weekend as he has been crying a lot lately because now that he's sober, and doing mental health is emotions are suddenly coming to the surface. He's learning that it's okay for a man to cry. "Crying only a little bit is no use. You must cry until your pillow is soaked. Then you can get up and laugh." Have a good cry if you need too. Karilynn, I could not agree more. A good cry is a cathartic experience and a great tension reliever. I am a "type A" personality, which must be abundantly clear to all of you, and I do not let things "roll off my back." So once in a while I have to get rid of everything. I do my best crying in the shower. There I have privacy, can cry as hard as I wish, and by the time I am shiny clean, hair washed, and teeth brushed, I have a whole new outlook. I leave the shower with a changed, refreshed attitude, and I'm ready to start a brand new day. I recommend an occasional good cry. In fact, I actually get to the point where I look forward to it.
