The day started with a phone call from my girlfriend in FL, just checking up on me, we had a wonderful visit.......
I probably am writing this for myself, but finding whatever it takes that makes it work is okay! I will finish my coffee this morning then off to run errands. I need to go to the bank and withdraw all that money from yesterday and open a separate checking account. Even though he has only accessed the checking account once in nine years, I just don't trust his judgment right now. I kind of feel guilty doing that, but I have bills to pay. Then off to moms for a short visit. I don't know if it is because she is the best mom ever or because she is Italian, but in times of crisis she finds the need to buy me food!!!! She bought me a few things I like, bananas, my special coffee creamer, milk for the kids. LOL She is the best. Then to my girlfriends for a very short visit, then back home to do laundry and re-organize my craft room so I can get crafting. I sat last night while I watched TV and cut inspirational words from old magazines. These I will use to make a clue box. (Old cigar box, covered with words to inspire, clear coated, you keep little keepsakes there, when things get tough...you go to the box and get a clue) Then tonight or tomorrow am going to watch the movie "when a man loves a woman" the counselor at my work said it is important that I watch it. (my co-workers are so supportive) I think I shall also buy a special journal for me to list my blessings. Okay, so I have a full day.
Hugs to all, Mary

Mary,
WOW! What a post! I am soooooooo happy for you. You deserve it. My mom was Italian too and she was the rock in all of my storms -- so loving and accepting of me and oh yes, food was cure for all evils - lol. I feel happy for you to have your Mom even though I don't have mine.
I too cut all the inspirations from Family Circle. I so look forward to getting the magazine and looking at that page. Haven't made my bulletin board yet with all the inspiration.
HAVE THE BEST DAY with many more to come. You go girl!
Yours in recovery,

That's not a bad alanon movie - though it didn't hold too many messages for me personally, it was nice to see an alanon movie anyway. Sandra Bullock's 28 Days is a good AA movie- they showed it at the rehab my husband went to.

Yeah! Sounds like a good day planned! Can I borrow your mom when you are finished? lol
I have always enjoyed "When a Man Loves a Woman" movie. I never have seen "28 Days" yet. Have to check that one out.
