To all my fellow Canucks (and not-so-canucks tee hee)....

Have a great long weekend!  This is the first long weekend that I am going "home" after getting back together with my Alcoholic husband.  And you know, I am so excited!  My alcoholic husband is not sober, has not changed his life in any way, yet my life is so DIFFERENT!  It is through this program, this room, and all my program friends that I am finally okay with me!

For the first time in my life, it my decisions don't depend on the opinions of my family, who are not educated about alcoholism.  My decisions are mine, because of the guidance i received from my own relationship with God.  Only I have to account for them. 

Through my example, my family has learned to bury the hatchet, and let it go.  I have proven that my decisions are okay, and if they aren't... I will survive. 

I am so excited to go home.  For one reason, I MISS THEM!  For another, my own family is back together.  I really have something to be thankful for this year.  Alanon.

Have an extra great long weekend! You deserve it! Glad to see you're doing much better! My A is home for the weekend too. We're celebrating as he's 60 days sober, and next in line for assisted living. I also started my vacation. While it's suppose to rain all week who cares? My family is together. So what am I doing up at 3am? Can't sleep. But the sweetest sound in the world to me is him snoring and the cat purring. Music to my ears. You're so much stronger than you realize. We all get better. There is always hope wether your A is active or not. Look outside and enjoy the changing of the leaves. If that isn't your HP at work I don't know what is. Live strong, Karilynn
