hi john..my mirc is set up by the book..and i have the latest java..

when i try to get in with mirc i get a message that which is like this.

* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)

* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)

* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out) etc etc etc ad nauseum

when i try to get in with java..i get the java machine doing its whirlygig thing then a blank white screen..with an x in the upper left corner

i just updated my java 2 weeks ago or so, and it worked fine till yesterday.

anything come to mind?

Same happened here, but I come in under AOL.

I am not sure what is going on, but it appears the network is having problems, not our site....

Locally here, all the ATM machines are also down... so I venture to say that something is going on out there in cyberspace with a network split that is causing this problem and it should be cleared up soon.  I sure hope so.
