Hello roomies, I'm starting to come back from the dead. The strep is pretty much gone, and the eye is not so pink. Thanks for all your concerns. How nice. I was making some doctor's appointments this morning when it got me thinking. This is breast cancer awareness month. So for all of you women out there, and spouses with wives, remind them to get their annual mammograms, and do the monthly self-exam. You have no idea how important it is. It can save their lives. It can save your life. I canceled mine back in April because I got so caught up in my A's life that I forgot to look after mine! Not only emotionally, but physically as well. Luckily that perspective has been changing. He's looking after himself, and I myself. That way we can both help each other when we need to. Friday will start my vacation. For the first 3 days, it's all about family. My A will be home for the weekend, and it will be all about us and the cat. We're even going to an AA meeting on Saturday (we'll leave the cat at home!) The rest of the week will be about me. Fall cleaning (anyone want to help? ) and taking care of me. I've made my appointment for the mammogram, and my dental cleaning, and then a check-up with the doctor. But I've also made a promise to myself not to get bent out of shape if I don't get the closets cleaned out, or whatever else I think needs to get done around the house. Hopefully the weather will be good so that I can get out and enjoy the leaves starting to turn. So be good to yourselves. Be healthy, emotionally and physically. Live strong, Karilynn
