When you work the steps & you read step 6, right there after four & all "moral inventory" seems like it is some kind of a negative thing.
Having been on a road of truth and to fearlessly learn, realize & actualize how to love myself completely... and going over the steps again, I can see that the majority of my moral inventory, now is strong & positive, as I have used the truth & honor to be the governing impulses of how & why I act.
I still do give in to negative mind tapes. I have thought critically of myself long enough, I am ready to consider myself gently for a change. Surely only I can know what is 'right' for me. The negative negative mind tapes, I am willing to let that go too, that I may see myself more like other's do & embrace my higher good.
In any case, I wanted to share that succinctly, that it doesn't have to be an all negative thing.

I needed to hear what you had to say today. As I was mentally doing my moral inventory (in preparation of writing it) I was thinking of all of the negatives. All of the things I need to change or would like to change. No where does it say that our inventory can't be positive. THis helps me a lot and over time adn progress, I hope to be able to do more positive than negative. Thank you.

Hi - I'm working step 4 and get depressed easily with all those character defects that seem to never go away. Someone - may have been my sponsor recently suggested I make a list of my good qualities. I drew a blank. I have slowly been trying to come up with a few and it does help a little. It's so hard. I could immediately see the defects - assets -.....well - working on it.
