We seek the answer. Sometimes we think we have found a central truth and later learn that beneath it is another truth. Or what seemed so crucial as a guiding principle for our lives last year is still true but not as crucial. It is like trying to take a snapshot of a changing world while the camera itself is changing.
#######ROSIE......well one thing i know about this life!!!!! the only guarantee we have is CHANGE!!!!! my theory????? ***if i cannot fight....if i cannot flee......i FLOW* and work the heck out of the program......
Some of us in our hunger for security grab for "absolute" truths, which are not absolute. We must continue forever to be eager learners. In stepping across a stream from one floating log to another, we must resist the temptation to become overcommitted to staying in an especially secure looking place, or we will never reach the opposite shore. Even the Twelve Steps of this program are given to us as a "suggested" program of recovery. It is a program that works because it takes us out of our rigid ways. We are continually made new. That is the vitality of the spiritual life.
#######ROSIE...... oh my hunger for security which was frustrated in my real world, drove me to my fantasy world....i had this **other life* to where i could run and be happy......i **had it all* there......i couldn't wait to get home and go into my bedroom/ lie in bed / and **go to my other--preferred* life......this program has taught me the benefits of being **open* **receptive* to other thoughts....to other **takes* on issues......whether i take it or leave it...i have something to think about.........i think i am becomming more open/ receptive......i am getting so flexible now , i can tie my shoes with my own teeth !!!!!!! thank you, rosie

Thank You! That is exactly what I needed to hear right now. I am terrible for grabbing onto absolute truths, yet I am always hungry for change! Talk about a Catch 22!
