Hello friends,

I am still away from home for two weeks now. My dad is back in the hospital to have surgery tomorrow for the mistake the nurse made when inserting the catheter. I thought it would be a quick recovery surgery but we all were uninformed. He will be unable to drive or do anything at all for a week or so! Thus, I will be staying with them longer than I thought. I know that I will be blessed by my works and this is okay with me. My husband is being supportive which helps alot. I am not real updated on my daughter which is probably good for me. She does start a new job tomorrow which I am hoping is something her HP is in charge of :) I would appreciate any prayers for my dad for a successful surgery tomorrow. With a heart patient on blood thinners it is always a high risk for blood clots. I am not sure when I will be back to this library to ready any replies or post but I do feel support through prayers helping me.

This week was stressful for me in that my dad's blood vessel would keep opening up and there would be alot of blood etc. for me to clean and also for me to decide when to get him to ER. I did get him there the first time it opened up. After that when he would start to bleed we would wait an hour for it to stop and then not go to ER. Somehow that didn't seem quite right leaving us in charge of his bleeding since they didn't realize how much blood he would lose! I haven't slept well at night since one ear was listening for if he needed help. I am calmer now that he is in the hospital and am trying to rest up for when he comes home. I too have health problems and this balancing act is so hard on me. I do rest whenever I can and have been taking naps but not getting enough rest. I do believe I am being watched over and helped and that all will be okay. Thanks again for your support. Hope to be able to read the other posts soon when I can get home. You will be in my prayers tonight and every night untill you post again that all is well.  I find that lack of sleep is the worst for me.  Please try to get some rest when you can.

Just letting you know that I think you are a very nice person, very caring and sweet.  I am glad you are able to get some well needed rest right now.  Any parents would be blessed to have you.  You take care and many prayers for you and yours are coming your way.
