I talked to him today. I told him that I would like a divorce.  I asked if we could keep it civil and not fight as we have not been married that long.  I have asked for only what I brought into the marriage.  I have told him that what he brought into the marriage is his.

He is very angry and upset. He says that the divorce is my fault, that I am the one who does not keep promises and that I cannot be please.  Whatever.

I too admire you for your strength to know when enough is enough. When you think about it this is "our" life as well. This is not a dress rehearsal, this is it. We need to do what is right for us, and if this is right for you to do, then so be it. I wish you the best of luck. I am currently going thru a nasty divorce, and it is not easy.
