hey everyone

i went to bed last night, and basically did a step 1,2,3, on this thing with my "oh so loving brother" you know its funny-- i don't CARE if he wants to love the perp....just don't get in MY face about my wanting to change my name, et al......like i am willing to let him do whatever he wants..he is not ever going to be in my life so who cares???

HOWEVER...let ME do whatever i want without attacks, without critisism, without calling all my loved ones and "bashing me" calling me the neurotic and all....

WHO is the only siblig in recovery???? me, WHO is doing the steps on this???? me.....

i prayed last night to god to "please keep him away from me ...and i surrender unto you, MY negative feelings towards this man" i asked my HP to remove the negative energy around me and send it back to its source, i even prayed that he send jim the holy spirit, AND prayed he keeps him away from me

when the estate is all said and done....i am GONE!!!! i dont' have ANY wish to speak to a man who attacks me/ insults me like my perp did....he even SOUNDS like him.....so all i want to do is *walk away* and he go his way....i go mine......

i feel better this am.....i truly believe there are garbagy people and the only thing we can do (we can't change them) is to WALK AWAY....cut off communication....and when estate is over??? that is what i am going to do....meantime???? i am focusing on me and i am going to work extra hard to avoid this TOXIC TOXIC person..........thanks, rosie

Staying away is often the only choice. Your brother may be doing what he feels he needs to, but that doesn't mean you have to be part of it. You may find that in a few years, as your recovery progresses, you are able to make contact again without hurting yourself. For right now, though, there is nothing wrong with choosing to take care of yourself, in fact it is the healthy thing to do. Good luck
