I did visit the Beaverton farmer's market Saturday and it was as large as I had been told. it is possible to eat like a king for $1 (salmon jerky) with all the varied produce samples around. It's stone fruit season here and the peaches are wonderful, as are the pluots. Pears are good too :)
I joined the Washington County library system for the net time. It takes 45 minutes to get there, but at least it's something while Multnomah County system will be closed.
I am still in depression/overwhelm mode...still so much to do...still so much to learn...
Finding a good place to watch TV (football) is a large problem. Still, I managed to watch the US/Mexico soccer match at an Irish pub that had a TV. Now I know why the Irish like pubs so much other than the liquor. Good food, fast service, lively atmosphere.
Food stamps work, now that I know how to shop correctly--and you can bet I save some for fresh fruit :)
infinite gratitide to all...
