Wait a minute, will you send me that thing private. Becuz i loved it. I too think different than most. Learned just how much when I went to college in my late 40's I saw it as a person who is more mature in her own personal journey. I saw my A big time. I know he has changed since i have seen thru the masks. He takes his mask off for me. Even though to me it is now invisible. related to the part how he hates my new eyes to his inside, but yet loves it. Someone who loves him no matter what. Someone who sees him and the disease as totally separate. I did not get at all that it was saying we can cure or control or anything. I saw it as a very sick human being feeling relief that there was one person who cared enough to learn about his disease. A person who he could finally feel ok with. And also if he chose to get well, they knew this person would be behind them but not accept stinking thinking. Someone they knew would know better than to allow the disease to blind them from the hurting human within. hmmm please send it to me would you? I loved it. debilyn oh and who cares if you stirred things up!! That is how we learn!! That is how we see things from all sides.

Thank you that is how I read it, but I also was able to see how a new comer to alanon could read that and think that is a way to cure the "A". That was a conern for me.

You wrote exactly what I got out of it, especially now that my "A" can no longer  hide behind a mask from me.

I sure will send it to you, I will have to do it on Monday. When I typed it up I didn't save it, LOL, took me a while to type it. I did however, email it to myself at work. So I will send it to you then.
