I have some sort of respiratory virus. Maybe it lies in wait perpetually for times when i am exhausted and can't handle it. Whatever my meds i guess are helping me still. Yet I still am wheezing a bit. But with how hard i have been coughing i guess it will take time for my throat to heal. Just trying to drink enough water to keep going and not enough to drown from the drainage that comes along with this stuff. Oh for the days when VICKS helped me, but now that I am an asthmatic nothing is ok to take unless a dr says so.... Thanks for listening chat is full of other people's woes. Haven't slept well in a couple of weeks...

Hi Laura,
So sorry you are not feeling well!
I hear you...I too have asthma and had pneumonia last spring, been there done that with struggling to breathe through all of that.
It took me two months to recover and it has only been a few weeks that I have felt better, still, it made my asthma flare up again, I had been much better.
Water, water, water, water, and more water like Debilyn said. Also, I ate a lot of fruit, easy on the stomach and lots of Vitamin C. I coughed so much I had a lot of trouble keeping my food down.
At least you have hot humid air to breathe, more soothing to the lungs than cold frigid dry air. I hope it is not too humid, because that makes it harder to breath.
Try to rest that is the most important. Sending hugs and get well wishes your way.
Love,
Isabela

Hi Hvnly.
Missed you in chat room.
Looked at this twice already, wondering what to say. Not much to say, except hope you feel better soon, now I can shout LAURA when you come back to room!
I'm sure Vicks not as strong as used to be - I used to have it as a child, it would just about blow your head off then. Also, late hubby swore by it, my children still quote having it shoved up their noses!!
Hope you find some relief from your symptoms.
Lots of love to you,
Flora
