I drank
I drank for Happiness and became unhappy
I drank for Joy and became miserable
I drank for Sociability and became argurmentative
I drank for Sophistication and became obnoxious
I drank for Frienship and made enimies
I drank for Sleep and awakened without rest
I drank for Strenght and felt weak
I drank for Medicinal and aquired health problems
I drank for Relaxation and got the shakes
I drank for Bravery and became affraid
I drank for Confidence and became doubltful
I drank for Conversation and slurred my words
I drank for that Heavenly Feeling and ended up feeling like hell
I drank to Forget and was forever haughted
I drank to Erase the problems and saw them multiply
I drank to Cope with lifes and invited death
I drank for Freedom and became a slave to alcohol

Kathy,
I just wanted to say thanks for the post!!! You helped to remind me that he has a side in this too-- and that he's probably hurting although it's easier for me to blame and say he's the bad guy... I forget he's got feelings...
I don't know exactly what he's going through, I drank for all the wrong reasons but was fortunate that I loved my kids more than what I was doing...
Trying trying and trying some more
(((hugs))))
