I met this wonderful AA speaker friend of my ex-A called Mickey Bush who explained step 2 to me in very simple terms.  It all makes sense to me now. So I will explain how i interpreted him explaining to me lol.

He started off by asking me how I felt after a face2face meeting.  I said I felt a lot calmer, serena, happier , as if I could cope with it all.  We then went to an AA meeting where he explained further. 

He said the Power and God were different.  The power was given by god to us.  When two or more of us are gathered in his name then HE shall be in our presence.  I.E the power of the group being god given.  Step two says "Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." i.e the power of the group.  Therefore I felt a lot better after a meeting because the power of the group had restored me to some form of sanity.  How cool is that.  I really understand step 2 now and it actually makes sense.  I do feel gods presence in the group and I certainly come out feeling saner and calmer

Now onto Step 3 for me.
