Haxi,
I was actually looking for you tonite/Thursday in the room. Wow was I feeling lonely when I realized you were gone already. I guess I am not a loser after all. Feeling a little better today. Well, am taking one hour at a time. When I read peggy's post above about flowers, it sent chills through my entire body. I wish I could get my hope back but in reality she is an abuser too. I am really trying to go on. I really am. Stay safe and enjoy your trip. cdb

thank you for all the kind words; they are of real help to me right now.
I have spent the last few days sackin, stackin, vac-in and packin! Right now I'm hurtin from all the work and lack of sleep. It's tough getting a full life into a single car. I managed.
First update: Shelbyville, Indiana, 1308 eastern, 1208 central
Heavy rains have forced me to pull over here, so I decided to take a rest and check in before hitting Indianapolis traffic. Note to self: never put tortilla chips, especially the good ones, near the opening to the glove compartment! it gives a new meaing to the term "crunch time"!
Haven't had time to do any grief work yet as I've been too busy--hope to do some tonight or in the mountain time zone.
Projected itinerary goals:
Davenport, IA tonight
Lincoln, NE 6th
Laramie, WY (1830 MT meeting) 7th
Salt Lake City, UT (1900 MT meeting) 8th
Boise, ID (2030 MT meeting) 9th
Portland, OR 10th (crash)
start process of changing ID's etc 11th
I have a new temporary address:
Mike Rolfe
General Delivery
Portland, OR 97208
If you're fom MIP, please put haxi on envelope to avoid confusion with dopplegangers :)
I will buy a cell phone when I arrive. I will give out the number on an ask-only/need to know basis. Look to the boards in the meantime!
Infinite gratitude to all,
Haxi

Haxi (Mike),
Get rested up to drive that big stretch of road between Lincoln and Laramie- miles and miles and miles of highway in there. Although I do have to say Nebraska is a bit more interesting to drive through than Kansas, in my opinion. There is a HUGE truck stop in Cheyenne called Little America I think it is. Make time to stop in Salt Lake City and check out the history there, it's rather interesting. Utah is very pretty to visit. I imagine Idaho is also, I have never been out in that corner (yet). Keep checking in and creating your own little "travel log" for all of us here. Dana

Hax asked that I let you all know he left Lincoln on time this morning and will not be near a computer today as it is Sunday but intends to make a post tomorrow sometime.
On a personal note, I want to thank you Mike for honoring me with a visit during your move. It was a pleasure to speak one on one with such a genuine heart, powerful mind and gentle soul. Know that you warmed my families hearts and stole my dogs love. Know that you are always welcome in our home, I look forward to keeping an eye on your progress along this journey to your new beginning.
On another note, I felt blessed to know that my HP had this visit totally under control. If any of you have ever felt a time in your life that a decision was made in perfect sync with God's plans know that that is how I felt by offering a dear friend a place to rest and eat. Again I feel honored to have been a servant of my God's plans.
Thanks
Peggy
