Well uno I saw A last Sunday. Said he would call. Did not hold my breath. Was
hoping though.
Today was his day off so really thought he would call. nope.
Honestly? yep yep yep, broke my heart more. is it worse to not have him in my life or more
is it better to leave the door open to him just in case, or is it better to slam it shut and lock it?
Heck if I know. Hurts either way.
So anyway I managed to get thru the day, even laughed. Was trying to put up a
canopy in my little front fenced area. I tell ya it is verrrrry hare when ya have five very
friskie kittens and a very short stout English bulldog helping....
So since I could not figure out how to get the stakes to stay up when it was just
me doing it. I did what any sane person would do, i threw the hammer, said a not so christian
word and went back into the house. i mean crimany i couldn't just do it in the morn when
it was cool, had to be out there in a hundred degree weather.
Well that was not enough self abuse I guess becuz I at that moment decided to
shear my last two llamas. Had gotten one done a week or so again.
So i corral them up. Proceed to shear Campbell a cream one with a brown spot who
came in so wild i could barely get fifty feet of him. He did great, only kicked me once in the
shins and never spit at me....
Seriously he did great. They hate ya to touch their legs. I should have known to be mofe
careful. It did not hurt. i was sure it would be bad. My first thought was uhoh i am in trouble.
Hard to live out here with a broken leg.
He kept burying his head in my arm!
Anyway Sunny was next. He is a large grey, white, tan guy. Gads he was a butt. He
kept trying to lay on me, twisted, ug. I finally got mad, which i don't usually. So
again i did what any normal person would do, I bit his lip, not hard. just enough to hold
him still, and gave him they eye.
Well he stood still... then got ansy again and tried to push me over, so i nabbed his
lip again and he was still.
So now they are all cooler and happy prancing around.
yea focus on us eh? This is how I forget the world. This place is my passion, I don't
think about A at all. I hope he will be around or call. But if he doesn't, well I laughed today
something I did not do much of when he was here last.
Anyway thank you for reading this, and always sharing how you feel on here and
for reminding me of the important things when i am down.
Better go to bed, have three Basset faces oofing at me... love, debilyn

Hello debilyn,
I sure enjoy your posts. I am in the process of finding a new safe haven for me with a safer lifeline. I have learned from you that HP can help us in other ways than to rely on people that can hurt us when we are down. I am not sure what my haven will be now. But I will start a new path now and a new direction. Hope to keep on touch with you somehow. My email is all messed up and I cannot access it or even retrieve addresses. But maybe that is for the best. your friend in recovery, cdb

Debilyn,
I always enjoy your posts about your animals so much, it makes me laugh, which I don't do too often anymore. Animals can think they are actually human, and sometimes act like it! LOL
Thanks again & keep posting your amusing stories.

Hi Deb...of course it hurts when they don't call. No matter how much you let go of expectations, our heart still holds hope for a better day.
Things are better at our home, for now. Maybe this is just God's way of telling me to use my waiting time to put myself in the position to leave, when necessary.
There are so many good times to remember...then Sun we had another good time. I just hope the price I'm paying isn't too high.
Do llama's have bad breath? Yesterday both my poodles got "poopy but", and that was enough animal hygiene to do me...ha! They're worth it.
