I read a book the other day by Max Lucado, "It's Not About Me". Perhaps if there comes a day that everyone realizes that our lives are not about us, we can all overcome our emotional bounds to such unhealthy relationships. I know that is what I strive for because there is NO person above God--- if that person leads me away from God and I lose that internal peace, I know I'm on a track God does not want me to be on and MUST change that direction in my life-- despite the pain it might cause. Why? Because it is NEVER about me-- it is all about Him.

The first books I've ever completed from beginning to end AND in a matter of a week or less-- sometimes even in a day on a weekend when I have nothing going on and just want to have some peaceful relaxation are Max Lucado. He is such a great author and offers easy to read and understand analogy of our lives as they should be according to God. :)
A couple of others I can recommend are "When God Whispers Your Name" and "A Love Worth Giving"-- both are incredible. I've found that ANY book by him though is incredible so you can be sure that whenever you pick out one of his books, you'll be enlightened.
