I have caught myself being very irritated at my A. He never was much of a handy-man and I always waited on him hand and foot. It was easier than cleaning up after him when he was drunk.
It just seems like he's been worse lately. Can you get me this...will you bring me that....my car needs gas in it if you go out. I don't know if it's because I've been out of work for so long and he thinks he shouldn't have to do anything since he's the one working or what. I do feel guilty about not working, but it wasn't my fault they downsized. I have always done most of everything around here. I fixed the plumbing, worked on my own car, cut the grass, thawed frozen pipes...you name it and I've probably tried to work on it. It just seems to irritate me when he does these things now. I know his health won't allow him to walk for long distances, but, good grief!
Frankly, I'm getting too old and fat to be doing that stuff! I will be 52 this year and I am just getting tired I guess. I love the man dearly and we will celebrate our 34th anniversary this year, but sometimes he just a pain in the a--!
Thanks to all for listening to my "dribble".

Nope your not alone on this one. Ok He works all day outside the home. Comes home and plops on the couch taking over the tv and the living room. And nothing gets done in the house. Ok I have choices. Go watch tv in another room, or say something. Same with the trash I can take it out or pile it in front of the door so he can't get out. When it comes to major work in the house he was never mechanical anyway. So here come those options again. Either I can do it, hire someone else to do it, or just leave it. All the burdens don't have to fall on your head. You are choosing what to do. No one is forcing you to take on all these burdens. The choice is yours. What you will and will not do. You can choose how you want to live. Remember to always keep the focus on you!!!
