hi welcome. Well not knowing the state/city you are in.. I would start by calling the
AA number in the phone book. They should be able to direct you, if there is not an
alanon number.
That is how I found the meetings here.
A book that helped me so much is, "Getting Them Sober." I like it becuz it is so eassy
to read and understand.
Courage to Change is a daily reader, as is One Step At a Time.
Going to face to face meetings is a great way to get comfortable with alanon. People will
love seeing you there. New people are so important to everyones recovery. We all
learn from each other.
It may be hard at first to go, but just get yourself out the door.
If you really can't make yourself go, we have meetings in the chat room here, and ou
can come right here to vent and ask questions.
I, for reasons, could not get to face to face, but I tell ya, I could not have found a
better place for me to learn and put a great program of recovery together.
Been at this five years now. We all learn in our own way. I tend to have to be more independant.
But if a person can get to face to face meetings, that is wonderful!
When you and your partner are both in a 12 step program, your relationship
has a much better chance at being good and lasting.
please keep coming back.
Oh you might search AA or Alanon in whatever city/state you are in,
the seach engine thingy. love,debilyn

Thank you so much for your encouraging word. When do you have on line meetings. I would love to join and hear what other people have to say. I live in Texas. If that helps any. Thank you so much for replying.
