In Jan of 2004 Feb. his son moved into a very small apt. He was supposed to be there for a little while. Rick drank so bad when he moved in her would start fighting and naming calling. He would start hanging out with people that were also drinkers. Two of them were drunk all the time that they didn’t know what was going on. I started noticing all these little liquor bottles all over the place, he would hide them everywhere. I would also look in the recycling and see if I could see if there were any little bottles. I was amazed on how many I found. They were in the wearied places. I used to get so upset with him that he started to sneak more around and then I found more of the bottles. When he got drunk, his son would be getting really upset and start argues with him, then Rick got mad, and they start fighting. His son tries to hold him down because Rick hasn’t been able to stand and I am trying to calm the situation down.
In March on the way to the bar, he asked me to get married. I really knew he had a problem, but I didn’t know how to help him. Our fighting has just become fighting with words, and less violence. I would still throw glass and cut but less violence in the car. He started to disappear less but still drank. We plan our wedding for August 8, 2004. At the wedding, I didn’t want any alcohol on the tables. At the wedding, he drank but not that bad.
