There's nothing like inspiration while on a mini-vacation. Grab one if you can ! If it's for 15-20 minutes or 3 days!
We left Monday evening and returned Thursday evening. Three nights at our cabin spot ! This time sobriety! What a difference. Kept in mind--he's still convalescing! I read some Chapters out of "How Alanon Works for Family and Friends" (dry drunk chapter) and a couple chapters out of the Big Book (in the back)--The Family Afterwards---before I went.
Anyway, sat on the sandy beach of the Wisconsin lake and felt the cool water and sand in my toes. Most evenings the stars were the best view. How vast the universe and what a reminder of all the possibilities in the Universe......and through our higher power....how limiting/limited I make possibility in my own mind on a daily basis. MY NARROWMINDED THINKING....no opening for one little Possibility to slip in to make me : )
