I was afraid of the beast
The wants, the desires
he made me feel.
I put him to sleep

Awakening him
in all his intensity

never to share him

Alone with just my beast
His claws raking through my heart
Making me feel
Making me want
My senses heightened, sharpened
by his restless prowling
through my psyche and mind.
...and I trembled
knowing I'd never be the same
knowing he'd be with me
Forever this time.

There was a time

Now his breath is mine
My heart is his
As we run together
through life
