Learning
Me and Scooter my 4 month ol' lab have been walking every day for awhile.I was doing this for his benifit surely not mine. But I started to learn something from Scooter.Something I have forgotten from years back.As I would watch Scooter looking, smelling, stopping to explore, sometimes stopping and looking at things I couldn't see. Than I started to look , smell and see things like Scooter. He would act like this was the first day of his life and all this was so new to him and wonderful. Just as a 2 year child. And just by walking with him he was teaching me of things I had taken for granted for many years.I really have to thank my crazy, wonderful Scooter for putting things back into place.I walk with him now and we actually enjoy the things that are free.....like him.Just learning to look through the young eye's of a puppy that will alway's be a puppy.Everyday is a new day and a wonderful day when we go out and take the time to smell the roses.

I too agree there is so much we can learn from our animals.
My animals greet me with love, no matter what happened yesterday.
They want to be petted, & yet when I pet them; it is I who feels better!
They don't worry about tomorrow, they live for today.

That is an inspiring story. I think God gave us pets so we could experience in a small way His unconditional love for us. I know my cats have seen me through some very hard times and they were always there for me and with me.
