Friday was a great day. Saturday too, and Sunday kicked butt as well.
Ok, maybe not quite as I predicted. Friday evening started off pretty scary as my wife and I got into a fairly big argument almost as soon as she got in the door. It was the first real chance either of us had to get things off our chests and things got pretty heated. But I worked hard to maintain my cool, and just tried to use the "say what I mean, mean what I say and don't say it mean" slogan, as well as "easy does it". After a while, things turned calmer, and we were able to come to the realization that we have something worth hanging onto.
The rest of the weekend went very well. Even a couple of things that I was very concerned over but was very leery to discuss (as I was afraid she would totally lose it over them) were handled with great results.
It's a long road ahead, but we are at least on the same road for now. We both want our own recovery, we both want our relationship to succeed. For now, that is enough.
Today is going to be a great day too!

I like your posts.
I perceive your posts as..........
It's not "today will be a great day" but....."I will make today a great day"
It's the doing not the wishing! Thanks.

thanks Bonnie and De Anna.
Yes, I have finally come to the realization that all my yesterdays first started out as being a today. And when I look back at the yesterdays, and wish they were different, I realize that I was the only one that could have made them any different.
sounds very cliche', but it's so true.

((((((((((((AlbertaCowboy))))))))))))) I am so happy things turned out the way they did. Remember none of the problems started in one day so they won't be solved in a day either. Sounds like you both took a step in the right direction. Keep on keeping on one day at a time. A day is only 24 hours of your whole life. We can do a lot in the time we have. I love your positive outlook! Continue to have a great week. You deserve it!!!

Wow rory!
Thanks for sharing that! It sure does help to know others are working their program and it works :). I am so happy you had a great weekend. I am amazed at how when we are calm etc. that the rest of the mood seems to follow in the household too. ((((((rory))))) cdb
