I have your isp numbers and I am aware that you are using different names at different times and that yesterday when the OP computer was off, you were messing with me using others names! This needs to stop. I am a hurting person who came here to get help for alcoholism. This is not a game. This is a real life person that you are causing many problems for. Just by using AOL that has isp numbers that change often when you come on to a website does not insure that you can hide. Please stop this now. After this post I can Let go and Let God. I know I cannot control other people and what they think of me is none of my business. But I can also choose not to be a doormat and speak my opinion and that is what I did. The rest now is up to other people's HP/God and my HP/God. cdb

I think what concerns me more cdb is that you see yourself as a victim. People come in the room with different names and that offends you. Doesn't that make you aggressive when you take their isp numbers and tattletale on them??? I am not trying to be mean, but the whole purpose of alanon is to look at our own behavior and not to see ourselves as the victim of someone elses perceived bad behavior. I have learned in alanon that even if there are people I dislike, I can still learn from them. I can take what I like and leave the rest. I can welcome people warmly and tell them that I am glad they are in alanon, because even if I disagree with them being in this program guarantees that some of it will rub off on them. I am glad you are here cdb and keep coming back.

I am glad you brought this point up. Maybe I have been a victim before but not anymore. It is easy to be a victim when we come here in the shape alot of us do. Since you do not have access to transcripts and have not been involved in some of the nonsense that has gone around here that has happened to me, it is hard for you to understand the true nature of this post. I guess if this site chooses to allow people to have many names and come in as who they wish, so bet it. But when people start to misuse the practice of having more than one name for other purposes such as hurting someone then many more may have to go through what I have gone through recently. No, I am not going to be a tattletale, etc. But if someone continues to do what has been done in my situation, I will not be a vicitim anymore. Take what you want and leave the rest. Cdb, no you are not playing the victum. Our room is suppose to be a safe place for all of us. I know there is some inappropriate behavior going on.
I have been a part of this group and room for over five years now. I have never seen the behavior I have witnessed these last few months.
I would hope we could all focus on ourselves and ignore the childishness. I like the principles before personalities. I have learned so much from this magical place and from John who I am so rich for knowing. He and I have even bumped heads!! But my respect for him has grown so much over the years.
Cdb you are growing so much. Please care enough about you not to let petty bs bother you. It matters first what hp thinks. After that it does not matter. If we follow our hps guides we will be ok.

I am sure that one or two of the people that were new in the room may not even return. Just my thought. Maybe that is why something inside me had to bring this post here. You know I think that you puttin this on the forum here is good. I have no idea what is going on as I quit going on the chat just after this began. I am so sory that this is happening and it just confirms to me the reason I am not going in the room these days. I have too much going on here at home to be bothered with mean people. I would also like to say that I do miss talking on chat with everyone that I have become friends with and will come back when I am ready and less emotional.

I read what you had to say and read the replys. I'm still fairly new here (about 4 months). I look at this chat as a safe place and where I'm accepted and can let my hair down so to speak. I would hope all in the chat feels the same way. I just think we get messed with enough outside of this chat and for some people in here to mess with another chat member is rotten and low down. I have no idea what went on, but I just want you to know cdb that you have always been very nice and I have never seen you start any problems. I love this chat room and have learned a lot and hope to keep on learning I'm sorry about your trouble and hope it will stop. We are all adults in here and each of us helps the other I believe.
