A friend hears the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails--Source Unknown.

I went to that sight you linked to. Maybe, I will do a web page myself about this detachment thing. A lot on that page deals with a successful relationship where both parties actual relate to each other and is not solely a detachment idea. Hmm, I do not think detachment owns those things at all. A lot on the page is about numbing one’s feelings in order to stay in a relationship: to one addicted to relationships, any relationship, even a bad one is better than no relationship. Some sayings on that page are being misused. Love is surely the answer with any problem that deals with fear. However, doing the laundry for a self-choice dysfunctional one addicted to drugs like alcohol, etc. is supporting hers or his dysfunctional lifestyle. Love, sometimes means letting go of the dysfunctional person and let her or he find hers or his bottom, alone and desperate enough to help themselves by truly reaching out for help… Doing so, even if the one letting go ends up alone: alone to find themselves, find hers or his true Love. God is Love & that’s all there is.
Err, did I just do a web page? My view my seem a bit extreme, but then dysfunctionality and mind altering chemical dependence is a progressive illness that progresses to the extreme. My view also emerges from my experience in life and with life.

For years I have kept this little jewel of a quote in a lovely little frame on my dressing table. Thanks for posting it here.
