Hi everyone. Well, sometimes something happens to brighten your day and remind you that people really are basically good. Tonight I was in the drive thru lane at McDonald's and when I got up to the window to pay for the food, the guy told me that the lady in front of me had paid for my order! I was stunned. I feel so good from that unexpected gift that now I can't wait until I have extra money in my pocket....I think I'm going to do the same thing! :)
Tracy, smiling for the first time all day and grateful to be reminded of the good things in life.

I love practicing random acts of kindness like that. Its so rewarding for the soul. I recommend doing it often. Your lucky day indeed - share the wealth by all means.

You sharing that with us amounts to same thing in paying for our bill… you know what I mean? Thanks ever so much. Err, you know what… you were the giver in that gracious act… often it is like that… you know?

That is so wonderful to here! We need to be reminded more often that there are kind people out there. I am gald that you smiled
It gets me to thinkin that someones selfless act can touch so many people. Like you sharing this wonderful act with us begins a chain reaction. How many will take from this and do something selfless for another stranger?? Makes me wonder.
Thankyou for sharing JJ

Wow, that blew me away.... Sometimes I think we are supposed to pay it back (or pay it forward) when we can.
A buddy lent us $200 when we had A problems in 1986. Gave them some anonymous gift cert. to restaurants later on as we could...but never could fully pay them back...(of course, never knew if hubby took on the responsibility to PAY HIS BUDDY BACK ! !)
Anyway, his buddy's sister had a benefit to pay her medical expenses...so we went and dropped $100 there....so what goes around comes around

What a lovely thing to happen! It would also have had very positive effects for the giver, I read an article in TIME magazine last month about what makes people happy and there were quite a few things in the article that really surprised me. This random act of kindness to you reminded me of the article - apparantly acts of generiosity and kindness have really positive spinoffs for the giver as well and that a lot of really 'happy' people are also regular givers.
Last year my younger sister was going to her highschool ball (prom for you in USA) and mum and dad didn't have enough money to buy her a dress. So I dipped in to my emergency secret bank account and took her shopping to find the PERFECT dress. To see her so happy and exited was one of the happiest things for me last year and made me feel soooo good.

Sorry, am I going off on a tangent?
Giving and receiving are both so rewarding.....
